One great help to getting out of debt is to save on the items that you have to buy.  Saving taxes is a great help and several states offer tax free days or even weekends to assist the spending public and to generate interest in shopping.

My state, Georgia, due to politics has decided that there will be no sales tax holidays this year.  In the past, they have held tax free weekends in the days leading up to the start of the new school year.  Due to the popularity, they even added one for appliances.  I am not sure of the last year that went without a holiday, but it has been a while.

Does your state have a tax free holiday scheduled for this year?
